What services does Lowcountry Blooms provide?
We work with regional growers to choose the best flowers and plants to bring color to your garden or pots in every season. Our focus is on seasonal color!
We provide a range of services for residential homes and business like garden and flower bed design, custom container and potted plant design, holiday and event decorating, HOA and neighborhood installations and maintenance as well as seasonal retainer maintenance.
What areas do you work in?
The majority of our clients are in the Richmond Hill, Georgia and Savannah, Georgia area. We also offer planning sessions by request as far north as Hilton Head, SC and all surrounding areas.
What type of work do you do?
We are a landscape design firm with a focus on flowers. We specialize in annual and perennial flowers, plants and bushes. We work with homeowners to maximize their outdoor living spaces, front porches, flower beds, patios and pools, pots and containers. Our typical jobs are planned and designed in advance and take 1-2 days to install, and include clean out of the beds and pots, soil assessment and amending, planting and fertilizing, deep clean up of the area and follow up for ongoing plant care. See some before and afters of our jobs here. We do not offer hardscape or lawn care services, but we happily partner with your landscaper or will recommend one for these tasks.
If I have already a landscaper, do I need your service?
Yes! Here’s why: most local landscape companies specialize in lawn care maintenance and/or hardscape installs. These companies don’t have access to local plant growers (wholesalers) (we do!) and will likely purchase the plants and flowers for your job directly from a big box store or local garden center, paying and then passing to you that marked-up retail price. In addition to the cost savings, we are Georgia Certified Plant Experts. Meaning we specialize in identifying and caring for plants and flowers in our region.
Do you do free consultations?
We sure do! We start every project with a free 30-minute planning session on-site. We’ll walk through your outdoor space with you and help you visualize the garden you’re dreaming of 🙂 We’ll discuss your project and your goals, timeline, budget, and preferences. Do I need a landscape design?
We offer full (CAD) landscape design for larger projects. We’ll determine your needs for a full design during your planning session. If you have great beds and hardscape in place but need a seasonal refresh of your plant pallet, a planting plan design is likely all you need.
How much does your design service cost?
Refreshing or designing your landscape will vary greatly from project to project. Our projects range from $300 to $30,000. Here are a couple examples to help you gauge your project. Remember… the only way to get a proper estimate is to schedule your free planning session here.
Example #1: A client calls us the first day of Spring to replace the flowers in her planters on her front porch, and add a pop of color in her flower beds (we used a combo of impatiens, caladiums and torenia). The total cost for this project (design, plants and install) was $475.
Example #2: A client is selling his home, and wants to redesign his original (builder-installed) landscape to create a better curb appeal and add value to his home prior to putting it on the market. We started with a planning session followed by a (CAD) landscape design review. The project included installing 2 new beds lining both sides of the long driveway to the home, reshaping and clearing the overgrown beds and replanting the foundation shrubs and fresh blooming annuals, adding 2 large containers with a centerpiece and annual blooms at the front entrance and adding a series of coordinated container plants throughout the pool area and backyard. The total cost for this project (planning, design, plants and install) was $7500.
